I was 6 years old when I climbed my first tree. We visited my uncle that day and he had a small Fig tree in his backyard. I dreamt of climbing it previous times we visited but it was always just a thought. One day I got the courage to climb it, and it was exhilarating once I reached the top of that little tree – I enjoyed the fig at the top as a reward for myself. But it wouldn’t be till I was 18 years old, seeing a tree climber scale the tree for the first time, that I instantly knew that’s what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. With a heavy respect for trees, a love for the outdoors and a chance to use cool gear, I got right to it and got my first job as a trainee in a tree company shortly after. I’ve been at this now for close to two decades, and the feeling of reaching the top of the tree is just as gratifying as it was that first time at 6 years old. So, with passion & experience, teamed with a love for trees - I decided to open WMD in 2021. Here we stand now, with strong roots in the ground, continuing to build the canopy of our business by providing our customers with top-notch tree care for competitive pricing.
